It was a steadily improving weekend for Lotus PB Racing in the second round of the GT4 European Series, held at the technical and spectacular Zandvoort circuit. The team from Bergamo, with Stefano d’Aste and Alberto Naska at the wheel of the Lotus Emira GT4, showed continuous progress throughout the event, working hard to fine-tune the car’s setup and build confidence on the challenging Dutch track — known for its narrow layout, numerous elevation changes and direction shifts, and banked corners that test both tire wear and car balance.
Thanks to consistent work across all sessions, the results soon followed: in Qualifying 2, Alberto Naska claimed an impressive Pro-Am class pole position (15th overall), confirming the strong potential of the Italian duo.
In Saturday’s Race 1, d’Aste and Naska narrowly missed the podium, finishing fourth in class. On Sunday, however, they delivered a stellar performance in Race 2, crossing the finish line first in the Pro-Am category. Unfortunately, a 0.3-second penalty for an undercut pit stop time dropped them to second place. Still, the result marked a major milestone — the first podium of the season for Lotus PB Racing in the GT4 European Series.
Next up on the calendar is the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit, from June 26 to 29, as part of the prestigious 24 Hours of Spa weekend. Another key opportunity to confirm the competitiveness of the Lotus Emira GT4 and aim for the top positions once again.
