PB Racing ends the weekend in Spa-Francorchamps with positive vibes bringing its Lotus Exige Cup PB-R to the chequered flag of the 12 Hours: in Belgium, the italian team did a great job despite the unpredictable weather with the final fifth place in the class thanks to Stefano d’Aste, Federico Leo, Vito Utzieri and Maurizio Copetti.
The fast GT race car developed by PB Racing has brilliantly passed a tough test bench such as the Spa circuit accumulating further experience and precious data.
Stefano d’Aste: “We return from Spa very happy, it was a super positive trip where we finally saw the potential of our Exige. There are certainly some aspects that we need to evaluate and improve, one above all could be the adoption of center locked whjeel; in fact, this weekend the weather changed many times in just few mins and these moments were so hard for us about pitstops management changing from slicks to wets and viceversa. Federico, Vito and Maurizio have driven very well and our guys did a great job too. I can’t wait to get back behind the wheel of this rocket!”
For PB Racing, the focus now shifts to the Lotus Cup Italia trophy, whose third round of the season is scheduled for mid-June at the Varano de’ Melegari racetrack.
