Lotus Cup Italia returns to the spotlight this weekend with the fourth round of the season, hosted at the legendary Autodromo Nazionale di Monza. The 5,793 meters of the “Temple of Speed” will set the stage for what promises to be a thrilling race, with no fewer than 18 Lotus Elise Cup PB-Rs lining up for an adrenaline-filled, high-stakes showdown.
It won’t just be the scorching heat that fires up the weekend—weather forecasts suggest possible thunderstorms, adding an extra layer of unpredictability to an already intense event. Two drivers from the USA, Scott Knott and Christian Melone, will also be joining the grid, further confirming the growing international appeal of the series.
That global visibility has been boosted by the recent success of PB Racing, who took victory with the Lotus Emira GT4 in the GT4 European Series at Spa-Francorchamps, with Stefano d’Aste and Alberto Naska behind the wheel. The latter, a fan favorite and racing at his home track in Monza, arrives in top form after the Spa win and is now aiming for the championship lead, currently held by 2023 champion Massimo Abbati.
Plenty of familiar faces will also be fighting for glory, including Maurizio Copetti, Giuseppe De Virgilio, Max Schiavone, Roberto Agostini, Niccolò Loia, Nicola Schileo, and Pietro Aiello. In the Master category, expect a fierce battle between Vito Utzieri, Michele Parretta, Massimo Petrella, Nazareno Compagnoni, and Francesco Gebbia.
Everything is set for a weekend of high tension, last-minute overtakes, unpredictable strategies, and pure Lotus passion.
