Although the engines of the Lotus Elise Cup PB-R of Lotus Cup Italia series have now been “at rest” for a few weeks, work is underway in view of the next competitive season.
The synergy with the Gruppo Peroni Race has been confirmed, which for the eighth consecutive year will be the organizer of the series within the Peroni Racing weekend, supported as always by PB Racing as promoter for Lotus Cup Italia and Lotus Sporting Club for what it will concern Lotus Speed Cup PBR Italy (the trophy reserved for Lotus customers with road cars).

SCORE AND STANDINGS
If from the point of view of the sporting format there are no changes, the main changes will concern the score and its attribution. In fact, the points assignment system changes, which in 2022 will follow the one used in F1 where 25 points will be assigned to the 1st classified, 18 points to the 2nd, 15 points to the 3rd, 12 points to the 4th, 10 points to the 5th, 8 points on the 6th, 6 points on the 7th, 4 points on the 8th, 2 points on the 9th and finally 1 point on the 10th. The same score will also be adopted in the Lotus Speed Cup PBR Italy.
The attribution of 4-3-2-1 points to the first four drivers classified in the Super Pole remains unchanged.
The attribution changes instead of the double points foreseen in the last round of the season, which will be assigned only to the drivers who have been verified at a minimum of five events foreseen by the calendar.
