Another fantastic result for PB Racing: the Bergamo-based company led by Stefano d’Aste and Maurizio Fortina was once again the best Lotus Cars dealership in Europe, recording an extraordinary sales result in 2020 for the “Made in Hethel” cars despite an extremely difficult year due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The confirmation of PB Racing in first place is the result of what has been invested both on the commercial side, where a business approach was immediately adopted with new working methods and “contactless” sales processes (thanks to a greater online presence, “click and collect”, etc.) and in aftersales and assistance activities, with an even more careful evaluation of customers’ wishes, registering an increase number of those who choose PB Racing and its multi-years experience on models such as Lotus Elise , Lotus Exige, Lotus Evora but also on rarer supercars like Lotus 3-Eleven, Lotus Esprit or Lotus Elan.
Do not forget the massive presence in the motorsport, with the enormous effort made for the promotion and organization of Lotus Cup Italia trophy and Lotus Cup Speed Championship (the only official Lotus Cars series in Italy reserved for road cars and customers), the title conquered in Coppa Italia GT (with Stefano d’Aste) and the positive participation in the 6 Hours of Rome and the 24 Hours of Dubai.
Despite the crisis still huge present in Italy and the Brexit fears, PB Racing launched an investment plan during 2020 linked to the renewal and modernization of its official Lotus Cars dealership and assistance, with expansion spaces, new services and technologies and updating of numerous equipment, with work in progress in these first weeks of the new year so as to be fully operational as soon as possible.
Stefano d’Aste: “2020 was an incredible challenge that none of us had imagined just 12 months ago. Claiming to be proud of what has been done, of how PB Racing has confirmed itself as the main point of reference in Italy for Lotus Cars, is almost banal. We have done an extraordinary job, starting from Maurizio and all the staff, technical and commercial, without exception, who worked with dedication and passion even in the most difficult periods of the year. We were able to get back on track with Lotus Cup Italia, and for this we thank all the drivers who have chosen our official series, and also with Lotus Cup Speed Championship, bringing an average of 40 Lotus every weekend to the most beautiful italian racetracks; about that, the collaboration with Lotus Sporting Club, Lotus Team Italia and Lotus Club Roma was fundamental. About 2021 we have been working for months on new projects, to always be innovative and try to offer the best possible service – commercial, after-sales and sporting – to all customers and fans of the English brand.“
Maurizio Fortina: “The strength of PB Racing is in the group, which is very close, and in the passion that moves each of us when we think about Lotus Cars. We cannot denied that 2020 has been hard for us too, but the work that has been done by all PB Racing members allowed us to confirm ourselves as a reference point in Italy and in Europe for the second consecutive year, after the excellent results that we had already achieved in 2019. We have approved an investment plan to be even more present, even more dedicated to the increasing number of customers who rely on us, from those who choose a Lotus for the first time to those who entrust PB Racing with own car for any type of intervention. We will have a lot of news in the coming months, we strongly believe in what we are doing and we are convinced that this year can give us important new satisfactions.“
